Getting Started with PerfectPalette
PerfectPalette helps you build, analyze, and export production-ready color palettes. Whether you're designing a brand, building a website, or creating a design system, PerfectPalette guides you through every step.
Your first palette
- Open PerfectPalette and navigate to Perfect (the home page).
- You'll land on the Plan stage. Fill in a brief describing your project — target medium, personality traits, color temperature, and accessibility goal.
- Click Generate to create a palette from your brief, or skip the brief and add colors manually.
- Work through each stage in order: Colors, Harmony, Contrast, Accessibility, Scales, Roles, Preview, Review, and Export.
- When you're satisfied, download your palette in the format you need.
Navigation
The main navigation bar gives you access to six areas:
| Section | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Perfect | The palette editor — your main workspace |
| My Designs | View and manage your saved palettes |
| Learn | Educational articles on color science and design |
| Explore | Browse curated palettes from brands, countries, and more |
| Colors | Search a library of 50,000+ named colors |
| Tools | Standalone color utilities (converter, extractor, etc.) |
Saving your work
- Click Save in the left sidebar of the palette editor to save your palette to your account.
- You must be signed in to save. Create an account or sign in from the user menu.
- Saved palettes appear on the My Designs page.
Sharing a palette
From the Export stage, click Copy share link to generate a URL that anyone can open to view your palette — no account required.
Dark mode
Toggle between light and dark mode using the theme switch in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
Apply palette theme
